We can help you move home, across the UK

Our home removals service is offered to any party who needs help moving their possessions from a domestic property, and typically, to another domestic property in a nearby town or county, or any destination across the UK.

The GJA removals team are very experienced in moving the most treasured of belongings that are all different shapes and sizes, from properties of all shapes and sizes. We will take the very best care of your items at all the stages of the moving journey including packing up your items (if required), loading onto the van, unloading off the van, and unpacking (if required) when we reach the new property.

It doesn’t matter if you have a very small number of belongings that need moving, or you need assistance with a move from a large country estate – we can help. We offer a “man with a van” service for smaller house moves, or we can arrange to bring more than one vehicle – if you have a lot of furniture and items that need moving.

We also offer a packing and unpacking service – if this is something you may wish to add to your home removals service you can find out more, further down this page.

If you are looking to move the furniture and belongings from a property after a loved one has passed away, we refer to that as a house clearance. This is a slightly different service to a standard home removal – and you can find out more about our domestic clearance service here.

We can help you move home from the UK, to Ireland or Europe

As well as our home removals service for house moves in the UK, we also offer International removal services if you are moving to Ireland or emigrating to Europe.

Just the same as our home removals, our team are very experienced in moving your most treasured belongings and ensuring they reach the agreed destination safely, even when going overseas. We will take the very best care of your items at all the stages of the moving journey.

Our experienced International removals team will arrange for your furniture and belongings to be collected from your property and then safely loaded into a suitable deep sea shipping container. We will then ensure the container is loaded for travel and delivered safely in the port of the destination country, before being taken on to your property. Our team will always keep you up to date during the various stages so you know that the contents of your home will arrive at your new property on the agreed date.

Please note a “groupage” container option is available with our International removals service if you do not have a large number of items that need shipping.

Additional house removals services –

We can help you pack and un-pack

We offer packing and unpacking services to those customers who require it – please just let us know if you would like this included in your removals service costing. Our packing/unpacking costing also includes the provision of packing supplies so we can move all your items safely. We can also supply packing supplies (including boxes) if you wish to pack up your items yourself, just let us know.

If you believe you have any furniture or item such as an antique, piano, or fine art piece that requires specialist packing and moving, please ask us about our specialist packing service. You can also purchase packing supplies from us even if you are not using our home removals services.

Please note: we do not offer an unpacking service for International house moves.

We can store your furniture, household items and personal belongings

Glyn Jones Auctions also offer a storage service for house moves where you need to move to a temporary or rented accommodation for a short (or long) period, and your furniture etc cannot go with you.

Your furniture, other household items and accessories, and personal belongings are kept safe in a modern warehouse, fully protected with an alarm system – until such time as your new property is ready to receive them. Our safe and secure warehouse can be viewed at a customer’s request.

Please note our storage service is open to any customer who wishes to use it and not just those using one of our removal services.

Other removals services –

Moving precious, treasured, and valuable furniture or other items

Our specialist removals service is reserved for UK house moves that contain many items, or a singular item, of high value, deemed to be fragile, or of a specialist nature.

Furniture and items that typically fall into this category may include:

Pianos
Antique furniture (including rugs and other large textiles)
Smaller antique items such as lamps, tea sets etc
Fine art
Jewellery
Sculptures

As with our home removals service our team at Glyn Jones Auctions will take care of your most treasured, highly valued, and fragile items at all the stages of the moving journey. But in addition to the standard service, our “white glove service” which forms part of this package – includes specialist care and attention for the packing and, unpacking and installation (if applicable) of your items when we arrive at your new property.

The specialist packaging options will vary depending on the specialist item, i.e.: custom crate service for fine art and sculptures (up to a certain size). Whatever the size or specific nature of the item we will recommend the most appropriate packing method to ensure it arrives safely and in its original condition.

For a house move that only includes one or a few small specialist items our specialist packing service may be a consideration and can be added to our standard home removals service.
